Work-Life-Faith – Peter Moore
In today’s fast-paced and demanding world, many professionals struggle to balance their careers, personal lives, and relationships with God.
In this discussion, Peter explored how Christian professionals can live integrated lives where their work is not divorced from their faith, but instead becomes a powerful platform to honour God and serve others.
His talk addressed practical ways of navigating the tensions between busyness, ambition, relationships, and discipleship, while reminding us of God’s sustaining presence in the midst of our daily responsibilities.
Peter Moore is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, where he has served in senior leadership roles.
Alongside his professional career, he is deeply committed to ministry and service. He is a member of Christ Church Midrand, and a former trustee of Love Trust (a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing quality education and care for vulnerable children) and a former central trustee of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church of South Africa (REACH-SA).

A Biblical Framework for Redemptive Work – Sibs Sibanda
Following the positive feedback from his last virtual discussion on Gospel-Centred Vocation, we were delighted to announce Sibs Sibanda’s return for a follow-on discussion.
In this virtual session, Sibs introduced a practical framework to help us live out a Gospel-centred vocation in our daily professional lives.
Work is not merely about earning a living, it is an act of worship, a means of stewardship, and a calling to participate in God’s redemptive mission on earth. Yet, in a broken and complex world, the challenge remains: how do we embody this vision in practice?
Together, we explored: The biblical basis for seeing work as worship and stewardship; What it means to pursue redemptive work in today’s society; and Practical ways to align our faith and vocation with purpose and integrity.
Sibs is deeply passionate about the integration of faith and work, and continues to explore how Christian principles can meaningfully shape the marketplace.

Gospel centered vocation – Sibs Sibanda
What does it mean to live out your faith through your work?
How do we see our vocation, not just as a means of survival, but as worship, calling, and participation in God’s redemptive mission?
Drawing from the creation mandate in Genesis and the teachings of Jesus, we reflected on how, despite the broken world we live in often resulting in work feeling stressful, meaningless, or even oppressive, work was always meant to be good, designed by God for flourishing, stewardship, and worship.
Sibs Sibanda lives in Harare with his wife and their two children. After two decades in pastoral ministry, he transitioned into the business sector and now serves as co-director of Eport Pvt Ltd, a software development company.
Sibs is deeply passionate about the integration of faith and work, and continues to explore how Christian principles can meaningfully shape the marketplace.

Our guest speaker, Njamba Kapalu, led us through this timely conversation, drawing inspiration from 1 Timothy 5:8, reflecting on how faithfully caring for our families and working diligently can be one of the most powerful ways to serve others and honour God.
Njamba Kapalu is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar with a Master’s in Finance & Investments. He currently serves as Head of Sales at M-KOPA(SA), a company focused on providing credit in underserved communities and creating earning opportunities for young people across the continent.

Living with integrity and credebility as Christian representatives – Martin Kuscus
The world urgently needs a new generation of credible leaders who reflect God’s character in every sphere of life.
In this impactful discussion Martin explored how integrity shaped his rise to national leadership roles, the difference faith made in navigating power without losing his soul, practical insights on how we can be credible witnesses for Christ, and he shared lessons from his book on building trust, influence, and purpose.
Martin Kuscus was the MEC of Finance in the North West Provincial Government, CEO of the South African Bureau of Standard (SABS), Chairperson of trustees of the Government Employees Pension Fund, Board Member of the United Nations PRI Board, Council Member of the International Standards Organization (ISO), Commissioner of Finance and Fiscal Commission, and the Non-Executive Director of several JSE-listed entities.

Rooted in Christ: Navigating life’s uncertainties – Kagiso Chikane
Mrs. Chikane, the wife of renowned anti-apartheid activist Reverend Frank Chikane, drew from her deep well of personal and professional experiences to explore how the timeless principles of the Gospel have provided the strength and clarity needed to overcome life’s greatest challenges.
In a world filled with unpredictability and trials, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Mrs. Chikane shared her profound journey of how rooting her life in Christ has served as her anchor through turbulent times. Through her testimony, she illustrated how relying on God’s wisdom and His word, provided peace and direction, even in the most difficult circumstances.

How should we handle our finances as Christians? Dr Kagiso led a discussion tackling the topic of black tax and finances from a biblical perspective.
Dr Kagiso Rapetswa is an experienced Entrepreneur and Business Technology executive, responsible for bridging the gap between technology and business strategy while ensuring the organisation and its customers derive the most value possible from investment in technology. She holds a PhD in Information and Electrical Engineering (Spectrum Sensing and Sharing in Cognitive Radio Networks), a master’s degree in Information and Electrical Engineering, a BSc (Honours) in Computational and Applied Mathematics, a BSc in Computer Science and various ICT and telecoms certifications.
